Some last week rumors that should probably be dismissed but I just love playing "what if"
Vikings are serious about wanting to move out of the 3rd pick - if they don't they, supposedly, will take Claiborne over Kalil which could open up a whole bunch of scenarios starting with the #7 pick. The Jaguars just might get their wish to move down.
What if Cleveland takes Tannehill? Miami might take a kick returner in the top 10 again.
Tampa Bay is really high on LB Luke Kuechly and if the Vikes pick Claiborne, Kuechly would likely be the pick at #5. First off, I think that's really high for an inside linebacker. But Kuechly is a 3-down player and reminds me a lot of Brian Urlacher. Secondly, this would mean that either Kalil or Blackmon would be available at #7 - which would make the Jaguars happy campers.
The Bills are apparently really high on Mark Barron one day before the draft. God I hope that is just a smokescreen to get someone to move up to #10. Last time they took a safety in the top 10 (Whitner) it didn't turn out too well. Plus they have pretty good safeties and far bigger needs elsewhere. If some team like the Cowboys or Jets move up to take Barron at 10, look for the Bills to take Riley Reiff.
The Jets apparently have the hots for Trent Richardson. My B.S. meter is extremely high on this one. It would take a kings ransom for the Jets to move up to #3 from #16 - this is what it would take to get Richardson as he's not getting past the Browns.
I'm hearing the Titans most definitely are looking at corner with the 20th pick. Claiborne and Gilmore will be long gone. Kirkpatrick is more of a zone corner so I think if corner is what they are going to take it'll come down to Brandon Boykin from Georgia or Josh Robinson from UCF. I have to imagine after the Pacman Jones debacle, Janoris Jenkins is off their board.
